17" Kestner Antique Child Doll - Mold #149

Description

Up for your consideration is this little country school girl by Kestner. I’m downsizing my collection and hope someone will give her a new home.  She has been displayed in my doll room in a cabinet.
She has a porcelain head on her original composition, jointed body with straight wrists. The composition body has been repainted and there is some paint loss on the torso. It is in sturdy condition with only very minor and typical age wear at the joints. She has all her fingers and toes.
She is so sweet with her flawless creamy bisque with beautifully painted features. She has original brown glass sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes; flat, feathered, multi-stroke brows; open mouth with four "square cut" upper teeth' dimpled chin; and a lovely antique mohair wig in braids. There is eye wax missing on the lids. Please see photos as they show details better than I can describe.
Her costume is a very pretty antique salmon pink cotton dress with vertical tucks and square lace trim at the bodice; white cotton underwear with lace and tucking at the hem; white cotton pantalets; antique rayon socks; antique cream oilcloth shoes; and a wonderful antique straw hat with blue band and brown ribbon trim.  The pantalets are replacements.

I charge a small handling fee to help with the cost of shipping materials used when packing antique dolls. Sorry, I do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, nor do I ship internationally, so no international bidders please.
