VERY RARE 22" FINE BISQUE CLOSED MOUTH
1880'S (Pre 1892) TURNED HEAD JDK KESTNER
(I think, I can not see any markings perhaps there
are markings on the breast plate under the leather body)

By Doll Artist Nancy Zigler.
She wears her original dark brown mohair wig.
She has German glass blown stationary brown eyes.
She has got the sweetest face.
Her eyebrows are lovely.
(I am not totally sure she is a Kestner
If anyone knows for sure I would love to hear from you.)
Her white clothing is lovely as well.
It has so many hand crafted detailed accents.
She wears a handmade white cotton skirt & top trimmed in
Handmade lace & embroidered roses on the front of her blouse.
Her undergarments, stockings & pink oil cloth shoes are all antique
& maybe original to her.

She has such a sweet face and lovely coloring
with the Rare closed mouth

Original brunette mohair wig

22 in / 56cm in height
DOLL CONDITION:
This beautiful, rare doll is a wonderful example of the
high quality workmanship of JD Kestner. (I think)
Kestner dolls are gorgeous and this doll is no exception.
She is in nice condition considering her age.
Her bisque Head is very nice.
She has no chips, no repairs or damage to her bisque head.
Her custom kid leather body had some saw dust leaking around the knees
and had to be repaired (see photo)
She has all of her fingers.
Take time to look at all of the photos.
Close Mouth Antique Dolls of this Quality are Considered To Be Very Rare.
It is more Common to Find Antique Dolls with Open Mouths and Teeth.
Making this Lovely Doll Very Sought After.
